Instagram Subscriptions lets fans pay a monthly fee for exclusive content, and Meta's Subscriptions Eligibility page states the 10,000-follower threshold clearly. What's genuinely murky is geography: the 2023 launch covered a specific set of countries and India wasn't on that original list. Some 2026 sources claim Meta has since broadened the eligible-country list considerably, and one even names India directly — but we could not independently verify India by name on Meta's own published materials, and no higher-authority source we checked confirmed it either.
